November 04 2025
AUBURN, Ala.- The Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) invites the public to experience its upcoming Micro Gallery Exhibition, an exhibition of miniature artworks created by local artists. This unique exhibition celebrates creativity on a small scale, with all pieces sized at either 3-by-3 inches or 5-by-5 inches.
The exhibition will be on view in Gallery II from Dec. 18 through Jan. 8, culminating in a closing “micro” reception on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. Guests can enjoy micro-themed refreshments while viewing the exhibition, and most pieces will be available for purchase.
Artists (16+) may submit up to two works in either size. All artwork must be family friendly and created on illustration board provided by JDCAC. Medium and theme is artist’s choice, but artwork must conform to the designated dimensions and hang vertically. Framing and or wiring is not permitted. Works will be hung unframed. Registration opens on Oct. 20 at auburnal.myrec.com. Pre-cut boards are available at JDCAC. Artwork must be dropped off between Dec. 1-10.
Whether you are an artist looking to participate or a community member eager to explore small-scale creativity, the Micro Gallery offers a unique art experience for the whole community to enjoy.
